Regina Needs More Than Dinner Plans

Regina Needs More Than Dinner Plans

I love Regina. I really do. But we are a touch predictable.

We text “what's up tonight” and 9 out of 10 times, it turns into food. Or drinks. Or both. And that’s fine. I enjoy a good meal as much as anyone. I really do. I especially love an excellent food experience, and am not easily tempted by quick or convenient food as a go-to. I love experiences.

There is something different about sitting around a table and slowing down just enough to make something with your own hands.

That’s why I started hosting beaded bracelet workshops here. As the world shifted and so did our priorities, I felt the inner compass of that shift. And I heard it from so many of you when I made the move out to the beach and started offering bracelet making out here. Soooo many of you were delighted at just how easy it actually was, overjoyed at the variety and abundance of options - and most of all - you were THRILLED to have something TO DO!

I decided to go all in on workshops. Not because Regina needed another event.
But because Regina needed something that felt easy and meaningful at the same time.

When you sit down at one of my tables, it’s not about being crafty. No one has to be “good” at anything. You just start picking beads. Colour, texture, metal, glass, gemstones if you want them. You build something that feels like you in that moment.

It gets quiet for a second. Then it gets chatty. Then someone changes their whole design halfway through. Someone dumps their tray and has to start over. It’s human. It’s normal. It’s relaxed. It’s real.

And you leave with something you’ll actually wear.

Not a souvenir. Not clutter. Something that lives on your wrist and reminds you that you took time to do something for yourself, something different. It is my hope that your self crafted adornment serves as a reminder that its safe to slow down; maybe over time helps you know it is not only safe - it is essential, and you deserve it.

That’s the point.

My workshops aren’t about spectacle. They’re about creating a small shift in how we gather.

If you’ve been craving something other than “where should we eat,” this is your sign.
